Gardai are appealing for witnesses to a serious crash on the south-side of Dublin last night.

A pedestrian (24) was critically injured when she was hit by a car on the Rock Road at about 8:10pm.

She was rushed to St. Vincent's Hospital where she remains in intensive care.

Anyone who may have seen what happened is asked to contact Blackrock garda station.
