Raonaid (17) left her workplace at the Sally West clothes shop in Dun Laoghaire with a friend at about 9pm on September 3rd 1999 and went to Scott's pub in the town.

She left Scott's at about 11:20pm to change before going to a nightclub.

Raonaid's house was about a 15 minute walk from the pub and her body was found at Silchester Cresent in Glenageary at 12:33am on Saturday les than 500 yards away from home.

She had suffered a number of stab wounds to the upper body.

Gardaí say they are still following "extensive lines of inquiry" and say solving this murder is of the "utmost priority". They are calling for anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers at 1800-25-00-25.

Superintendent Paul Moran of the Garda Press Office says any information could be of vital importance to the investigation.
