Gardaí are conducting house to house inquiries and reviewing CCTV footage as part of their investigation into the shooting dead of 39 year old Christopher Zambra in Dublin on Sunday.

He was targeted just before 3 o'clock as he drove along Cooley Road in Drimnagh.

A post mortem has now been completed and the results passed onto the investigation team.

Gardai are this morning renewing their appeal for information about the shooting. In particular they want to speak to anyone who was on Cooley Road between 2.30 and 3.30pm on Sunday afternoon who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious.

They also want anyone who may have seen the Nissan Qashqui used by the gunmen drive into Benmadigan Road where it was then set on fire to make contact with them.
