Gardaí have released a man they were questioning in connection with the murder of Dean Johnson in Dublin.

The 21-year-old was shot dead near his home in Neilstown, Clondalkin in August 2013.

A 31-year-old man was detained on Monday and taken to Lucan Garda station, before being released late last night without charge.

A file is being prepared for the DPP.

A woman, also aged 31, was also arrested in relation to the investigation. She was also released without charge.
