A man is being questioned in connection with a shooting at a south Dublin pub.

A doorman was injured after a customer opened fire in the early hours of Monday.

The gunman had been drinking in the Sallynoggin Inn when he pulled out a firearm at around 12.50am and fired a shot towards a group who were dancing in the pub.

After making his exit, he fired one more shot back towards the building hitting a doorman in the stomach.

The 45-year-old underwent surgery at St. Vincent's Hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.

Gardaí investigating the shooting arrested a man in his 30s yesterday evening. He is being questioned at Dun Laoghaire garda station.
