Three men are being questioned by gardaí in Cork following a drive-by shooting in the city last night.
A man in his twenties was wounded when a gunman on a motorbike fired several shots at him in the Hollyhill area, shortly before 9pm.
He was taken to the Mercy University Hospital for treatment to gunshot wounds on his arm.
Another man in his twenties was arrested for questioning a short time later; he was taken to Gurranabraher station for questioning.
Gardaí arrested another two men, and seized a quantity of heroin, during follow-up searches after the shooting.
One man was taken to the Bridewell garda station in Cork city for questioning, while another is being held at Mayfield.
Heroin worth €8,000 was also recovered, and investigations are continuing.
