Gardaí are investigating the discovery of a man's body in suspicious circumstances at an apartment in Dublin.

54-year-old John Stewart was found dead near Clanbrassil Street in Dublin 8 last Thursday.

The scene was preserved and technically examined and a post mortem was carried out at Dublin City Morgue last Friday - which was found to be inconclusive.

Gardaí say they are anxious to trace Mr Stewart's movement between Tuesday 1st and Wednesday 2nd December.

It is believed he could have spent some time in the city centre - and may have been wearing a grey padded coat, light coloured jeans and a grey wooly hat.
