Gardaí are investigating an alleged shooting on Farrankelly road near Greystones at 11 o'clock this morning.

It is understood a chase between two vehicles was underway when occupants from one of the vehicles began shooting at the other.

A car belonging to a bystander was struck.

There are no reports of any injuries and no arrests have been made.
