Two men have been arrested after a handgun was seized in Dublin.

Gardaí arrested the two men as part of an operation targeting criminal activity in the south west Dublin area.

At approximately 10pm Gardaí searched a car on the N81 in Tallaght. The handgun was recovered during the search. The occupants of the car, two men aged 16 and 21 years, were arrested at the scene..
