Gardaí and Revenue Officers have seized 4,600 cigarettes and almost 10 kilos of tobacco after searching a premises in Dublin city centre.

The retail value of the Mayfair, Excellence and MG cigarettes and Flandria tobacco is more than €7,000.

Revenue says that investigations are ongoing with a view to prosecution.

The searches in the Moore Street area were part of an operation targeting the illegal sale and supply of cigarettes and tobacco in Dublin city.
