In a series of intriguing images, the former residents of the nuclear exclusion zone around Fukushima return to their former workplaces, now abandoned as hotbeds of deadly radioactivity.
Photographed by Frenchmen Carlos Ayesta and Guillaume Bression, the images showcase the state of the Japanese city since it was abandoned in 2011. It was not long after the disaster that the pair started to capture scenes from Fukushima, and these images see the everyday citizens displaced by the crisis returning to their former stomping ground.
