Five people are due in court in Tullamore after gardaí recovered suspected stolen property during a series of checkpoints in Co Offaly yesterday.
Clothing and footwear estimated to be worth more than €1,000 was recovered after a car was stopped and searched near Banagher.
The occupants of a car - three men and two women in their 20s - were arrested and detained at under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

The car was impounded under the Finance Act.
The checkpoints were mounted as part of Operation Trivium, targeting criminal activity in the midlands.
