Gardaí have arrested five more people in west Dublin in connection with the anti-water charges protest in Jobstown last November in which the Tánaiste was trapped in her car for more than two hours.
Two juveniles and three adults were arrested in the early hours of this morning.
The five men are being held at stations in Crumlin, Rathfarnham and Tallaght under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
It brings to 17 the number of arrests this week in connection with the Jobstown protest.
Each of those detained earlier this week have since been released without charge.
TD Paul Murphy was released from garda custody on Monday afternoon, along with three other men who were also detained in connection with the incident.
Socialist TD Joe Higgins has claimed the government are trying to criminalise people who take part in water charge protests.
