Fire services have dealt with a blaze at the Mater Hospital in Dublin.

A small electrical fire broke out in an operating theatre shortly before 3pm this afternoon.

Six units of the fire brigade from Townsend Street and Phibsboro attended the scene.

The fire was brought under control at around 4 o'clock.

It is understood a partial evacuation was carried out, but no injuries have been reported.
