Fianna Fáil is accusing the Government of an unfair campaign of targetting the elderly for cutbacks.
It's after a parliamentary question by Laois-Offaly TD Barry Cowen revealed that the number of grants paid out for the Housing Aid for the Older Persons Scheme has fallen from over 7-thousand in 2010 to just over 1-thousand-700 in 2013.
Fianna Fáil says that's another "savage" cut to services for older people - and comes after cuts to home help services and medical cards for the elderly.

Barry Cowen says the latest cut will harm older people's wellbeing.
