An explosion has been reported at a chemical plant in China's eastern Shandong province.

Images show the plant in flames, and the country's People's Daily newspaper reports shocks were heard 5km away from the blast.

The plant is located 1km away from a residential area in Shandong's Zibo County.

At least nine people have been injured.

It's just 10 days since two huge explosions at another Chinese chemical warehouse, killing well over 100 people.
