An explosion has hit a chemical plant at Fujian province in south-east China.
BBC reports that local media has reported at least one injury as a result of the incident.
The blast occurred at around 7pm local time at the plant in Zhangzhou, Reuters reports.
430 fire fighters are reported to have been sent to tackle the blaze, with the explosion having hit an oil storage facility at Dragon Aromatics.
The plant is involved in the production of PX (paraxylene), a flammable chemical used in the manufacture of polyester and plastics.
Today's explosion is the second blast at the plant in two years.
There have been protests by locals at plants manufacturing PX in China, with many fearing pollution could be impacting on people's health.
