Conchita Wurst, who took Europe by storm when she delivered Austria's second ever Eurovision win, will perform during the Dublin Pride festival.

The singer, whose song 'Rise like a Phoenix' comfortably won the song contest, will play in the George on June 27.

In an interview with Eurovision Ireland, she said:

“I’m really looking forward to performing at The George and being part of the Dublin Pride Festival.

“I want to spread my message of tolerance, acceptance and respect for people who are different – I know my Irish supporters will help me do just that.”

Dublin Pride, which runs from June 1 till June 29 is Ireland's largest LGBT festival. The highlight will be the pride parade, which takes place on June 28.
