A man in his eighties has died in a house fire in County Wexford.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Main Street in Ferns at around 6am this morning.

An investigation is underway and the scene has been preserved for a technical examination.

Gardaí are not treating the incident as suspicious at this stage.
