The Education Minister has been delayed from leaving a public event today by anti-water charges protesters.

Ms Jan O'Sullivan was delayed for 40 minutes by protesters at Gaelcholaiste Reachrann in Donaghmede.

A spokesman said the minister was delayed by about a dozen protesters, but was able to leave through another exit.

He added that the protest had been "peaceful" and the minister went on to visit two more schools.
