It's a lucky Friday 13th for one woman living in Dublin, who has collected her Euromilions winnings of €500,000 from the draw last Tuesday. The woman from Latvia, who got engaged two weeks ago, wishes to remain private.

She bought her €6 Quick Pick with Plus ticket in Blanchardstown the day before the draw.

As she received her cheque today, she said "It’s been a wonderful two weeks - first getting engaged and now this win".

"Since finding out last night that I won half a million euro, I haven't slept a wink - I can't believe it. I'm just so shocked and emotional over the win!". said the lucky winner.

"It's been a tough year, so this means the world to me - it's perfect timing!" she added.

She said she is not sure yet how she will spend it, and needs a bit of time to think.
