Gardaí are seeking a third man in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in west Dublin last night.
A man, named locally as Alan O'Neill (35), was shot a number of times at his house on Kiltalown Road in Tallaght at around 10:35pm last night.
He had been seriously injured and was treated at scene by Dublin Fire Brigade.
He was subsequently transferred to Tallaght Hospital, but was later pronounced dead.
Two men - aged 28 and 18 - were arrested close by in connection with the incident.
They are being detained at Tallaght garda station under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act.
The scenes of the shooting, and a car found burning close to the scene, were preserved for a technical examination.
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have any information to contact them in Tallaght on 01-6666-000, the Garda Confidential Line at 1800-666-111 or any garda station.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who saw a dark-coloured Nissan Almera, or the silver Mazda that was burned out.
Superintendent Peter Duff of Tallaght garda station made this appeal.
