Gardaí have recovered money taken from a Dublin pensioner by a gang of conmen.
Kathleen Byrne (83) was pressured into handing over her life savings to a gang of men, after they told her that she needed urgent work carried out on her roof.
Once she handed over the money, the men disappeared.
The pensioner, who has lived in the house for 58 years, said the incident happened at around 2pm on Monday afternoon.
Yesterday three men were interviewed by gardaí. They have since been released and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).
Ms Byrne says she is still in shock by the whole ordeal.
