They were also assisted by a Customs search dog, the Garda Water Unit and the Armed Support Unit.

During the course of the searches, a large quantity of heroin and cocaine were seized in excess of €320,000.

A large amount of stolen property was also seized - including a large number of high value clothing, an amount of cash, two Rolex watches, a BMW vehicle and a small quantity of ammunition.

Two women, both aged in their early 40s, were arrested during the searches and held under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

They have both been charged in relation to the searches and released on bail.

One man aged in his late 40s was also arrested and detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice Act at Finglas Garda station.

He has since been released without charge and a file will be prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP).

Gardaí have said investigations are ongoing.
