Gardaí are investigating the sudden death of a girl (17) in Co Donegal in the early hours of this morning.

It is understood the teenager had been out with friends when she became unwell.

She was rushed to Letterkenny General Hospital, but died a short time later.

Gardaí say they are awaiting the results of a post mortem before deciding what course their investigation will take.
