Gardaí in Letterkenny have arrested a man in his 40s in connection with the murder of a Polish man last month.

The body of Bogdan Michalkiawicz was discovered by his brother at 15 Westside Apartments, Letterkenny on May 15th. It's understood he had been stabbed a number of times. The deceased was last seen alive on Monday the 13th May 2013. 

A 47-year-old man was arrested last night and is being questioned at Letterkenny Garda Station under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.

It's the second arrest in the case after a 37-year-old man was arrested on June 6th.

Gardaí issued an appeal last week, seeking reports from the public of suspicious activity in the vicinity of the Westside Apartments, Lower Main Street, Pearse Road area of Letterkenny between Friday 10th May 2013 and the evening of Tuesday 14th May 2013. 

Tomorrow, a reconstruction of the event will be aired on RTÉ’S Crimecall programme at 9.35pm, as investigations continue.
