David Cameron has confirmed the UK will not pay a ransom for a British hostage, who Islamic State militants have threatened to kill.
He was speaking at the beginning of a NATO summit in south Wales.
The talks are expected to be dominated by the crisis in Ukraine and the murders of two American journalists by I.S extremists.
