Officials in Northern Ireland have confirmed the deaths of 12 further COVID-19 patients.
It brings the total on the island of Ireland to 168 after the HSE confirmed 22 more deaths this evening.
There are now 904 confirmed cases of the virus in the North, bringing the total on the island of Ireland to 5,177.
It comes as 672 more patients died in Britain, with a total of 3,557 death now reported in England, Scotland and Wales since the outbreak began.
Meanwhile, there have been 37,264 confirmed cases of the virus in Britain to date.
The death toll across the UK is as follows:
- Scotland: 172
- Wales: 141
- England: 3,302
- Northern Ireland: 48
The vast majority (570) of the patients confirmed dead in England in the past 24 hours had underlying health issues.
The dead were aged between 24 and 100-years-old.
The UK Health Secretary Matt Hancock has said the peak of the outbreak may come on Easter Sunday and warned that as many as 1,000 deaths a day could be recorded as the peak gets nearer.
Meanwhile UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson has said he will not be coming out of isolation on Friday as he still has a temperature after his own COVID-19 diagnosis.
