Recruitment experts Oxford International are creating 56 new jobs in Cork.

The company which recruits for the IT and Engineering sector already employs almost 80 people at its European Heaadquarters on Penrose Quay in the City.

The jobs were announced as part of a €16 million investment in the IDA-backed company.

The positions will be filled over the next 18 months.

Vice President of the company's European Operations John Murray told RedFM News why they decided to expand their operations in Cork:

The company already employs 65 people at its European headquarters in the city.
