This brings the total number of businesses taking legal action to more than 130. It is estimated that some €90m has been paid out by insurance companies covering the cost of damages relating to the flooding.
The event cost Aviva €34m - €20m was paid to University College Cork (UCC).
In October it was ruled that the ESB was 60% liable for damage caused by the flood in UCC.
The university argued that the electricity company released water from two hydroelectric dams following the heavy rainfall and that this added to the flooding.
The ESB has appealed this decision - it says that its actions complied with "best international practice" and its "statutory duties."
