The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ireland’s hospitals has dropped to 123 – its lowest level since mid-March.
The number, recorded across the country’s hospitals at 8pm last night, is down from 171 at the same time last week.
According to the HSE figures, there were also 223 suspected cases of the virus in Irish hospitals last night – up slightly on the 217 recorded last Friday night.

Dublin’s Mater and Tallaght hospitals have the highest number of confirmed cases, followed by University Hospital Galway (UHG), University Hospital Limerick (UHL) and Beaumont Hospital.
The highest numbers of suspected cases were in UHL, St James’s and the Mater.
As of last night, there were 103 critical care beds available – with 272 occupied by patients.
There were 37 COVID-19 patients in critical care beds, including 23 who were on respirators.
A further 28 cases of the virus were confirmed in the Republic yesterday, bringing the total to 25,163.
The death toll stands at 1,670, after a further 7 patients died.
