Tributes have been paid to comedian, actor, writer and producer Garry Shandling following his death yesterday.
The 66-year-old entertainer was reportedly rushed to hospital with an unspecified "medical emergency".
Mr Shandling's publicist told Reuters that the comedian suffered an apparent heart attack.
He was not believed to be suffering from any ailments or illnesses prior to his hospital admittance.
He was best known for writing and starring in hit shows such as The Larry Sanders Show and his own The Garry Shandling Show, as well as starring in such Hollywood hits as Iron Man 2, Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Dr. Dolittle, Zoolander and Over The Hedge.
Stars of the entertainment industry have been paying tribute to Mr Shandling, who Ricky Gervais described as "one of the most influential comedians of a generation".
