Cocaine worth €117,000 has been seized at a checkpoint in Dublin.

It happened after gardaí stopped and searched a van at the Outer Ring Road in Clondalkin at around 6pm yesterday.

Around 1.7kg of cocaine was uncovered.

A man in his 30s was arrested at the scene and taken to Ronanstown Garda Station.
