€378,000 worth of cocaine has been seized at Dublin Airport.

Officers from Revenue made the discovery after stopping and searching a Romanian national who had arrived on a flight from Abu Dhabi.

289 pellets of the drug were concealed in sweets.

The 50-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He later appeared at the Court of Criminal Appeal where he was remanded in custody to appear again next week
