A six-year-old boy has been shot in the neck in Dublin.
He was reportedly in the hallway of a house in the Croftwood estate in Ballyfermot at around 10 o'clock last night, when two men approached the open front door, pushed through and opened fire.
He was rushed to Our Lady's Children's Hospital in Crumlin where he's now said to be in a serious but stable condition.
The little boy was shot after the gunman missed his intended target.
The scene remains sealed off this morning pending a full Garda forensic examination.
No arrests have been made and investigations are continuing.
