A package containing cannabis herb worth €24,000 has been seized at an apartment in Dublin.

The drugs were seized yesterday after an operation involving Gardaí and customs officers.

The package, containing 1.2kg of herbal cannabis, was seized at an apartment in Coolock along with other drug-related paraphernalia.

A 21-year-old man was arrested at the scene.

He is being held at Ballymun Garda Station.
