Yesterday the Justice Minister visited Dundalk Garda station and spoke to colleagues of Detective Garda Adrian Donohoe.
He was also briefed about the 100 strong Garda investigation team hunting for the killers.
Alan Shatter will brief his cabinet colleagues this morning on the investigation so far.
Shatter insists that Garda resources had nothing to do with the murder and reaffirm that An Garda Síochána has the full support of the Government.

Book of Condolence remains open today
A Book of Condolence will remain open at the Mansion House in Dublin today for those wishing to express their sympathies for Adrian Donohue.
Over 20,000 people have signed books of condolence in Louth alone.
The book will be open to the public today in the Mansion House from 10am to 5pm.
