The discovery of two sets of remains in a Co Meath bog last night has left three families wondering if they are close to ending the torturous wait to know what happened to their loved ones.
Searching for the remains of Joe Lynskey, a former Cistercian monk abducted by the IRA from west Belfast in 1972, investigators came across the remains of two men, and now believe they could be those of Belfast men Seamus Wright and Kevin McKee.
The recovery of the remains continues today, with DNA testing to be undertaken in Dublin. The results could take up to four weeks.
Kieran Megraw, brother of Brendan Megraw, who was kidnapped, killed and buried by the IRA in 1978, before finally being found last year. He spoke with Newstalk Lunchtime today and explained the process the families of the disappeared men are going through now as they wait.
