Three schoolgirls from London, who are thought to have fled to Syria to join Islamic State, are apparently no longer together.
According to their families' lawyers, Shamima Begum, Amira Abase and Kadiza Sultana have been in touch to say they're safe, but have separated from each other.
The trio flew from London to Istanbul on February 17, before crossing into Syria.
The BBC reports that two of the girls made contact by internet and the third over the phone.
Sky News has interviewed a woman who claims she looked after the girls when they arrived in Syria.
The woman, who says she has defected from Islamic State, told Sky News that IS were planning to send recruits back to their home countries to carry out attacks, but she didn’t think the girls would return.
