The body of a man found in a farmhouse in Limerick earlier this week has been identified as Thomas Ruttle.

The 56 year old farmer was found dead in an upstairs bedroom of his farmhouse in Boolaglass near Askeaton on Monday.

63 year old convicted fraudster Julia Holmes was also found dead in the bedroom.

It's believed the pair died in a suicide pact and their badly decomposed bodies may have been at the house for a number of weeks.
