Bob Geldolf surpised everybody by strolling into Sweeney's pub on Dame Street in Dublin on Friday night.
Teenage Cavan band, The Strypes, were playing there and Bob went to show his support.
But he also decided to get up and have a sing-song in front of the shocked crowd.
It was Geldolf's first public appearance in Ireland since the death of his daughter Peaches Geldof three months ago.
Sweeney's held a night of music to celebrate the bar's fifth birthday.
The 62-year-old joined the Irish rock band for the song 'Riot in Cell Block Number Nine' and left as they completed their set.
Geldolf also decided to hang around for the remainder of the night.
We are still on a high from our Birthday! Huge thanks to crew & artists over the last 5 years! Here's to plenty more! pic.twitter.com/ybk9Eit7am
