Ben & Jerry's might be ready to release their most revolutionary ice cream flavour yet.
Ben Cohen and Jerry Greenfield, the duo who founded the now global ice-cream brand, told the Huffington Post that where marijuana is legal they see no problem in creating an ice cream flavour to match.
"Makes sense to me," Cohen told Alyona Minkovski. "Combine your pleasures.”
The brand is based on its unique flavours and a marijuana infused ice-cream was put to the founders as a possibility, with several US states now legalising the substance.
Greenfield was also on board with the idea, in theory, but admitted that while he had no opposition to it, he wasn’t going to be the one making the final call.
"Ben and I have had previous experiences with substances, and I think legalizing marijuana is a wonderful thing," he said.
"It's not my decision. If it were my decision, I'd be doing it, but fortunately we have wiser heads at the company that figure those things out."
