Louth gardaí have arrested a man in connection with the discovery of two bodies in a burnt-out car in March 2012. The man, aged in his late 20s, was detained this afternoon.

The bodies of Anthony Burnett (31) and Joseph Redmond (25) were found in a car at Ravensdale Park in Dundalk on Wednesday March 7th.

Both men were last seen in Dublin in the early afternoon of that morning.

The arrested man is being at Dundalk garda station under Section 50 of The Criminal Justice Act.

Gardaí had previously appealed for information on the incident.
