Gardaí investigating the discovery of a young man’s body in the Grand Canal in Dublin are appealing for witnesses.
The man, aged in his 20s, was found dead at the Dolphin’s Barn section of the canal yesterday afternoon.
His body was removed to Dublin City Mortuary where a post-mortem has taken place.
Gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in the Dolphin’s Barn area between 2am and 5am on Sunday morning to contact them.
They are particularly interested in talking to anyone who was in the area along the canal.
Investigators are also asking road users who were in the area at the time and may have camera footage to contact them.
The investigation into the death is ongoing; however, it is currently being treated as a tragic accident.
