Yale University in the United States says it is investigating a report of a gunman on the campus.
Emergency procedures have been put in place at the university and armed police are at the scene.
Police received a call reporting a person on the campus with a gun.
The website of the university says emergency shelter is in place for students.
In a statement, the university says "New Haven Police have received an anonymous call from a phone booth...reporting a person on the Yale Campus with a gun".

Police are advising those on campus to remain in their current location until there is additional information.
SWAT teams have been sighted at the university, according to college newspaper Yale Daily News.
The Connecticut-based university houses over 16,000 students and 9,000 staff. Streets close to the campus have been blockaded, according to reports.
Yale has been on November recess since Saturday, meaning many students have left to celebrate Thanksgiving.
New Haven Police Department Lieutenant Jeff Hoffman said there have been no shootings and no injuries.
