As Dublin gears up for the 1916 centenary events, it seems someone is watching from above.

The Air Corps have released stunning photos, showing the capital as it prepares for the celebrations.

The centenary events this weekend will be the largest in the history of the State, and include an Easter Sunday Parade.

Some 3,700 members of the Defence Forces will march in the event.

While up to 500,000 people are expected to line the streets of Dublin to watch the parade.
