A 19-year-old man has died in a traffic accident in County Donegal.

He was a passenger in a car that left the road at Tooban near Burnfoot at about 4.30am this morning.

A second passenger - a 19-year-old woman - is in a serious condition in Letterkenny General Hospital following the crash.

The 19-year-old driver is also being treated for his injuries.

Garda Forensic Collision Investigators are carrying out an investigation and diversions are in place.
