When you’ve got a bit of a dry spell in Ireland like we do now, you need to make the most of it. That’s particularly true for any farmers who need to make use of the good weather to get silage cut.
Joe.ie is reporting that a junior game at Annacurra GAA club in Wicklow was called off during the week as “too many lads [are] cutting silage”.
It’s not the first time minor games have been affected by the demands on the farm. Last June, Moneymore GAA in Co Derrt tweeted that a match was cut short for the same reason:
So you can cut a minor game to 20mins each way as the referee has silage to cut and we didn't get game started in time. Best one ever.
