A brief humanitarian truce is underway in Gaza. A two hour ceasefire has been agreed is at the request of the International Red Cross, after hundreds of residents fled shelling in Shaja'iya.
50 Palestinians were killed in the latest assault, bringing the death toll since the beginning of Israel's offensive to over 400.
Hamas and Israel both agreed to the temporary truce.
