Gardaí are investigating after the body of woman was found in Waterford.
The body of the 31-year-old was discovered at an apartment in Waterford city.
Gardaí were called to the apartment at Thomas Court on Thomas Street shortly after 3.00pm this afternoon.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and the Garda Technical Bureau has been requested.
The Office of the State Pathologist and local coroner have also been notified.
An incident room has been established at Waterford garda station.
Investigating gardaí are appealing for witnesses or anyone with information to contact them.

A post mortem is expected to be carried out Saturday at the University Hospital Waterford, which will determine the course of the investigation.
